Privacy Policy

This site is operated by Najdorf Esports (the "Organization"). The legal entity behind the Organization is being formalized; this notice will be updated to name the operating company once registration is complete.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. No analytics, no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting scripts, no first-party tracking pixels. Pages are static HTML, CSS, and a small amount of vanilla JavaScript for the match countdown, mobile navigation, a client-side hero swap on match day, and the daily games. Nothing on the site reads or writes to document.cookie, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB. The only use of localStorage is the daily games' on-device stats, described under "Game data on your device" below.

Our hosting platform (Cloudflare Pages) sets one strictly-necessary, first-party cookie named __cf_bm on requests to this domain. It is a 30-minute bot-management token used only for infrastructure security. It is not shared with us, is not used for cross-site tracking, and is exempt from cookie-consent requirements under the "strictly necessary" exception in EU ePrivacy guidance. Cloudflare additionally retains short-term access logs (IP, user agent, URL) for security and abuse-prevention. We do not link these logs to any personal identity and do not use them for marketing.

Game data on your device

The daily games store your play statistics in your browser's localStorage, one key per game: the crossword at /games/crossword/ keeps puzzles played and solved, streaks, best times, and your preferred difficulty; OWdle at /games/owdle/ keeps games played and solved, streaks, a guess-count histogram, and your progress on the current day's hero. This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, it is not linked to any identity (there are no accounts), and it is not used for tracking of any kind; it exists only so each game can show you your own streak. Clearing your browser's site data removes it completely. These two keys are the only use of local storage anywhere on the site.

Fonts

Display and body fonts (Anton, Inter) are served directly from this domain. No font requests are sent to Google, Adobe, or other third-party font CDNs.

Embedded video players

During an active match window (roughly 30 minutes before kickoff through three hours after), the home page shows a click-to-load Twitch preview. No request is made to Twitch until you click the play button. If you never click it, your browser never contacts twitch.tv from this page and Twitch sets no cookies on your device.

Once you click to load the player, Twitch may set its own cookies and collect usage data per its own policies. We do not control those cookies or receive their contents. See Twitch's Privacy Notice for details.

Match highlights are hosted on YouTube and shown through the same click-to-load approach. No request is made to YouTube or Google until you click to load a highlight. We embed through the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain, so if you never click, your browser never contacts YouTube from this page.

Once you load a highlight, Google may set its own cookies and receive data (including your IP address and information about the video and your device) under its own policies. We do not control those cookies or receive their contents. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Outbound links

Player profiles link to third-party sites (Twitter / X, Twitch, Liquipedia) when those handles are available. Clicking an outbound link takes you to that site, whose own privacy practices apply once you arrive.

Email contact

If you email us at owner@najdorfesports.gg, we will store the contents of your message and your email address for as long as is reasonably needed to respond and keep records of the correspondence.

Your rights

If you only browse this site, we hold no personal data about you. The site itself collects nothing: no analytics, no profiles, no logs of who visited which page. There is literally nothing for us to look up, delete, or correct.

The single exception is correspondence. If you email owner@najdorfesports.gg, we keep your message and email address for as long as it takes to reply and to maintain a reasonable record. You can ask us to delete that thread at any time by writing to the same address.

Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California, PIPL in mainland China, APPI in Japan, PDPA in Singapore and Taiwan, etc.) you may have additional statutory rights over any correspondence we hold. We will update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be announced in the news section.
